WHO Is It For? REI, Rhythmic Entrainment Intervention, is for people looking for change
in the rhythms of their body. Changes have been seen with language and communication
skills, hyperactivity and impulsivity, self-stimulatory behaviors, sensory processing,
learning abilities, attention span, social skills, aggression, anxiety, and sleep. This
program fits into the “Seed” portion of The Tree of Sound Enhancement Therapy®, the flow
chart for The Davis Model of Sound Intervention®.

WHAT Is It? Developed by Jeff Strong, REI uses auditory rhythm to stimulate and
repattern the nervous system.  Two custom CD’s are created and the individual listens to
drumming rhythms for 10 weeks at home that support repatterning their energy.
Improvements are typically seen within 3-4 weeks.

WHEN Is It Used? When someone demonstrates an inability to fit in with the rhythms of
those around them. A ‘Seed” therapy can be used at any time within The Tree analogy
because the program is based upon the individual’s personal rhythm patterns and can
support them throughout their lifetime. The DETP® or subsequent follow up therapy
assessments demonstrate the need for REI.

WHY Might I Use It? REI has been used to decrease self-stimulatory behaviors, anxiety,
aggression and over activity. People with issues such as AD/HD, Anxiety Disorders, Autism
Spectrum Disorders
, Auditory Processing Disorders, Communication Disorders, Learning
Disabilities
, Sensory Integration Disorder, Seizure Disorders, Sleep Disorders, and more
have been helped. A “Seed” Therapy supports natural self-change within a person’s basic
body rhythms.

WHERE Is It Offered? REI is available through The Davis Center in Succasunna, NJ after
The Diagnostic Evaluation for Therapy Protocol (DETP®) determines the need for the
therapy.
