Kari Kindem, from the AITInstitute.org, is the guest speaker and discusses from the parent's perspective Auditory Integration Training by Dr. Guy Berard.  She shares her own experiences for her son with AIT and how parents can help maximize their child's experience with the listening program.  The website is discussed so that parents will know questions to ask AIT practitioners, as well as receive answers from an online questionnaire as to one's suitability for AIT.

BioAcoustics means "life sounds" and as a science looks at the body as a mathematical matrix of predictable frequency relationshsips.  Frequency is sound so BioAcoustics helps identify the irregular frequency/sound patterns within individuals.  Sharry Edwards, the creator of BioAcoustics is interviewed and discusses how BioAcoustics supports the person with Autism. Ms. Davis shares how BioAcoustics relates to The Tree of Sound Enhancement Therapy to receive maximum benefit from the sound-based therapy.

The Kick-off Show for “Sound Effects with Dorinne Davis” will share why sound-based therapies should be considered as an alternative approaches for supporting positive change for those with autism.  Ms. Davis will first discuss the anatomy and physiology of the body as it pertains to the ear and then give an overview of “The Tree of Sound Enhancement Therapy®” which details the applications of the many existing sound-based therapies.  She will lay the foundation for future sessions that will independently discuss the many therapies.
